Google plans to introduce the next Pixel-series phones, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, on October 6. Google first announced the Pixel 7 series at its Google I/O 2022 event earlier this year.
However, it was unclear whether the Pixel 7-series phones would be officially available in India, given that Google hasn’t recently released a flagship Pixel phone in the country, instead opting to only offer the less expensive a-series phones.
However, it has now been confirmed that the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will actually be available in India. A new website on Flipkart India has released a ‘coming soon’ poster of both the new Pixel phones, implying that the phones will be available in India next month, perhaps concurrently with the worldwide launch.
Google has chosen a similar design for the forthcoming Pixel series, with a raised camera visor bar lying horizontally over the top of the phone, similar to the Pixel 6 series. In contrast to the all-black bars on the Pixel 6 series, the bar now has a metallic appearance, making the cameras stand out.
Both the new Pixels are believed to be powered by the new Tensor G2 technology, which will be Google’s second in-house smartphone chip, succeeding the Tensor chip found in the Pixel 6-series. Google says that the new hardware will have “more useful, personalized features for photos, videos, security, and speech recognition.”.
Other predicted features include 50MP cameras, Android 13, and 120Hz displays, though Google will provide more exact data on October 6, the day of the unveiling.
The Google Pixel is a Google brand of consumer electronics products that run on either Chrome OS or Android. The Pixel brand made its debut in February 2013 with the release of the first-generation Pixel Chromebook. In the Pixel line, there are computers, tablets, smartphones, and a lot of other accessories.
