The Huawei Mate 50 Pro has officially dethroned the Google Pixel 7 Pro as the best smartphone camera on DxOMark’s list. The Mate 50 Pro received 179 points, outscoring the Pixel 7 Pro, which received 147 points.

The Google Pixel 7 Pro just topped both the Honor Magic4 Ultimate and the iPhone 14 Pro versions to top DxOMark’s smartphone camera ranking. The Huawei Mate 50 Pro now holds the top slot, with a 152-point ‘Photo’ score and a 141-point ‘Video’ score. In addition, the phone has a 148 ‘Zoom’ score.


According to DxOMark’s Mate 50 Pro review, the phone shot high-quality images in all normal circumstances and had a genuinely remarkable low-light performance. Furthermore, the review said that the phone’s ultrawide lens provided high-quality images. The phone also has great zoom capabilities, resulting in photographs with a high level of detail at all distances.
