Apple just released the iPhone 14 series. This year, the business released four models, including two Pro models and a Plus-sized iPhone 14, in addition to the standard model. It’s only been a few weeks since the release of the iPhone 14 series, and the rumor mill is already churning out information regarding the iPhone for the next year.

The iPhone 15 series is slated to be released in September 2023. Next year’s iPhone 15 lineup will most likely be the same. The Apple iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 15 Plus are all possible.

With over ten months till the expected launch date, the first whispers have begun to circulate online. The latest leak comes from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is known for leaking Apple-related information.

According to Kuo, the iPhone 15 Pro variants may include additional Taptic Engines. Since the iPhone 6s, Apple has used the Taptic Engine. It took things to the next level by replacing the iPhone 7’s physical Home button with a solid-state button.

Other iPhones with a Home Button received the same treatment. However, since the iPhone X, the flagship models have become all-screen and lack a home button. So, where will Apple use its Taptic Engine next? The iPhone 15 Pro models could include solid-state power and volume buttons next year.

Analyst Kuo believes that the 2023 high-end Apple iPhone 15 Pro models, which will be released in the second half of 2023, would have solid-state volume and power buttons. In the Pro models, Apple is anticipated to replace the mechanical buttons with solid-state buttons.

According to the expert, Apple will install Taptic Engines on the left and right sides of the device to offer force feedback. The user would have the impression that they are pressing actual buttons. The mechanism is also found in the MacBook trackpad, the iPhone 7, the iPhone 8, the iPhone SE, the iPhone SE 2020, and the iPhone SE 2022.

Kuo also mentioned that Apple will be switching to USB Type-C for the upcoming iPhone models. Apple marketing chief Greg Joswiak recently stated that the company has no choice but to comply with the EU’s directive, which requires consumer smartphones and tablets to include a USB Type-C port beginning in 2024. Joswiak’s reaction made it plain that Apple is displeased with the iPhone being compelled to use USB Type-C.

More information about the iPhone 15 specifications is unavailable at this time. We may confidently infer that two 6.1-inch and two 6.7-inch iPhones will be released next year. The periscope camera is expected to replace the telephoto camera in the Pro versions. It would be fantastic if Apple included ProMotion on non-Pro models next year. However, there has been no official comment on the subject.

We can also expect the Pro models to use Apple’s latest SoC, possibly dubbed the A17 Bionic. If Apple follows the same strategy as with the iPhone 14 series, the non-Pro versions released next year could have the A16 Bionic SoC, while the Pro models would have the new A17 Bionic SoC.

Apple is also expected to include up to 8GB of RAM in Pro models next year, putting it on par with many Android devices.

Apple Inc. designed and marketed the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max smartphones. They are the flagship iPhones of the sixteenth generation, succeeding the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The devices were introduced with the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus on September 7, 2022, at Apple Park in Cupertino, California, and went on sale on September 16, 2022. On September 9, 2022, pre-orders for the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max began.
