Katrina Kaif said that she and Priyanka Chopra took Kathak classes together. While the dancing teacher praised Priyanka’s “fire,” Katrina was assured, “It’s okay.”
Katrina Kaif reminisced about learning Kathak from the same guruji as Priyanka Chopra (dance teacher). Katrina recalls how Priyanka Chopra ‘was fire’ and danced wonderfully with precise moves in a new interview. Katrina stated that she was shy and that she would only take a few steps.
While Priyanka’s dance captivated Guruji, he would tell Katrina, ‘It’s okay.’ Katrina described Priyanka as “wonderful,” and stated that they always crossed paths during “difficult times” in their lives.
Katrina and Priyanka will appear together on television for the first time in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa. Alia Bhatt and, according to reports, Ishaan Khatter also star in the film. Farhan, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema Kagti wrote the script. The picture, according to Katrina, “is penciled in for the later half of next year.”
Katrina stated to Film Companion, “Alia and Priyanka are both very good friends of mine. PC and I go back to when we were studying Kathak at Guruji’s. I’ll explain what occurred. So PC was slightly older than me. So you come to class, tie your ghungroos (metal bells linked together on the ankle), and stand in the corner as guruji calls you up one by one to dance in the center.
Everyone gathers in a little corner room. There was no air conditioning, only a fan, and I was dressed in a plain salwar kameez. Guruji would say ‘wah, wah, wah’ as Priyanka would get up and dance (wow). Also, Katrina.”
“‘Okay,’ I’d say (shyly nodding her head). Almost exactly (doing a few steps and widening her eyes). Guruji would say, “chal, koi nahi beta” (it’s all right, child). Next’. This used to be a real thing. She was a year older than I was. Isn’t Priyanka all fire? She is present.
That’s what I used to do at the time. When it first started, I was maybe 17 or 18 years old, and I remember thinking, ‘One day, I too will dance like that.’ She is fantastic, and even though we don’t communicate every day about the tough or low times in each other’s lives, we always seem to cross paths at those times. It’s always come in handy at those times “, She also added.
Katrina will next appear in Gurmmeet Singh’s horror comedy Phone Bhoot. Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi also star in the film, which is set to be released on November 4th. In addition, Katrina will appear in the next action movie Tiger 3 alongside Salman Khan, as well as in filmmaker Sriram Raghavan’s next Merry Christmas opposite Vijay Sethupathi.
It’s All Coming Back To Me stars Priyanka Chopra. She will also appear in the Russo Brothers’ production Citadel. It’ll be available on Amazon Prime Video. Patrick Morgan will helm the next sci-fi drama series, which will feature Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra.
Katrina Kaif couldn’t dance
Katrina Kaif also said that she was once told she couldn’t dance, adding that the folks were merely stating the obvious. Katrina also mentioned how choreographer Farah Khan would tell her to keep her ‘hands and lines clean’ in a new interview. She stated that it was choreographer Bosco Martis who initially explained her dance to her.
Katrina has been in a number of hit songs during her career, including Kamli (Dhoom 3), Chikni Chameli (Agneepath), Sheila Ki Jawani (Tees Maar Khan), Kala Chashma (Baar Baar Dekho), Mashallah (Ek Tha Tiger), Afghan Jalebi (Phantom), Ishq Shava (Jab Tak Hai Jaan), and Zara Zara Touch Me (Race).
Katrina remarked in an interview with Bollywood Bubble: “I couldn’t dance, to tell you the truth. It’s not as if they mentioned something about me. Hmmm’. I couldn’t dance, I couldn’t. That was true. They were simply stating what was evident to them. I’ve stated it numerous times. This is me at the start (flailing her arms), with hands all over the place.”
