Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to meet with legislators at his home on Thursday amid allegations that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is attempting to derail the AAP. The meeting will also cover the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raids at the home of Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. This raid was concerning an alleged liquor scam in the nation’s capital. According to additional sources, the “missing” AAP MLAs are those who accepted the BJP’s offer of Rs 20 crore to “bring down” the Kejriwal-led administration in Delhi.
Atishi, an AAP MLA from Delhi, put on a brave face while asserting that the party is confident that all AAP MLAs will remain loyal to it. “Arvind Kejriwal has convened a meeting of party MLAs that would start at 11 a.m. I expect all MLAs to arrive by then,” Atishi said.
On Wednesday, AAP MLA Dilip Pandey said they sent a message to MLAs and are contacting them. All MLAs will be present in the meeting, which will be presided over by CM Kejriwal, despite numerous MLAs being untraceable before the meeting.
At 11 a.m. today, Kejriwal will preside over a gathering of all AAP legislatures. A political climate discussion is likely to be the focus of the conference. The meeting will also discuss the raids on Sisodia and Satyendar Jain by the CBI and Enforcement Directorate.
Sisodia’s Claim
Manish Sisodia claimed that the saffron party wants to split the AAP. They also offered him the position of chief minister in exchange for his support.
In July, Delhi Lt Governor VK Saxena suggested that the CBI investigate possible anomalies in the execution of Delhi’s Excise Policy 2021–2022. The CBI searched Sisodia’s home about the 2021–22 Excise Policy case. Arava Gopi Krishna, a former Delhi excise commissioner and IAS officer had his residence searched, along with 19 other places.
