Samsung is preparing to release Android 13 on its current flagship phones. The firm has not released any official information on this, but according to a new claim, the South Korean conglomerate will have Android 13 running on the most recent Galaxy flagship handsets by the end of 2022.
The latest Android version will be topped with the One UI 5.0 interface. In recent years, Samsung has made a stunning U-turn by focusing on software and updates. And, with Android 13 now out, we expected the company would promote the new version, at least on high-end handsets, this year.
According to sources, the firm is planning to have Android 13 running on the following Galaxy flagship phones in 2022:
- Samsung Galaxy S21 series,
- Samsung Galaxy S22 series
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Fold 3
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, Z Flip 3
It’s not unexpected that these models are getting the Android 13 update ahead of the other Galaxy phones. These days, Samsung has a strong policy of multiple OS and security updates. Therefore, releasing the OneUI 5.0 stable build to these high-end Samsung phones is the appropriate way to go.
According to the same rumor, Samsung may also bring One UI 5.0 to the Galaxy A53 smartphone, making it the first non-flagship Samsung phone to receive it in 2022. Still, we think you should wait until Samsung confirms these dates to see if their plans match what the story says.
Samsung and Android 13 release
Samsung released the new Galaxy Z Fold and Flip models last month, and both have undergone a variety of changes. The Fold 4 has a stronger hinge that makes it more robust, but the crease on the inner screen remains evident. In India this year, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 costs Rs 89,999, while the Galaxy Z Fold 4 costs Rs 1,544,999.
Android 13 is the thirteenth major update of the Android mobile operating system, developed by the Open Handset Alliance and released to the public on August 15, 2022. On February 10, 2022, Android 13 was revealed in an Android blog post, and the first Developer Preview for the Google Pixel series was shortly released. It was released about four months after the stable version of Android 12. Developer Preview 2 was released in March.
Beta 1 was made available on April 26, 2022. Google launched beta 2 on May 11, 2022, during Google I/O. Two more beta versions are scheduled for release in June and July. In June, Beta 3 improved platform stability. On August 15, the final version of Android 13 was released to Pixel phones and the Android Open Source Project.
