Motorola unveiled the Moto G72 on Monday, the company’s latest G-series smartphone to make its debut in India. The Moto G72 has a 6.6-inch pOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 CPU and has 6GB of RAM. Also, it has a 5,000mAh battery with 30W TurboPower quick charging.

The Moto G72 is available in two colors: Meteorite Grey and Polar Blue. It is available in a single 6GB + 128GB model for Rs 18,999. Starting October 12, 12 p.m., it will be available for purchase on Flipkart.

The phone will have an effective price of Rs 14,999, which includes limited-time launch discounts. Motorola announced a Rs 3,000 exchange discount and a Rs 1,000 immediate discount when using chosen banks’ debit or credit cards.

Moto G72 Features and Specifications

Motorola’s Moto G72 ships with the Android 12-based My UX skin. The phone has a 6.6-inch FHD+ pOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a resolution of 1,0802,400 pixels, and a touch sampling rate of 576Hz. A MediaTek Helio G99 SoC with 128GB of internal memory (expandable through MicroSD card) and 6GB of RAM powers the device.

The Moto G72 has a triple rear camera configuration that includes a 108MP primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture lens. Aside from that, the phone includes an 8MP hybrid ultra-wide angle and depth camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens and a 2MP macro camera with an f/2.45 aperture lens.  Further, it has a 16MP selfie camera on the front.

The Moto G72 has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, and GPS connection. For biometrics, you get an under-display fingerprint sensor. The phone has a 5,000 mAh battery and supports 30W TurboPower rapid charging. According to Motorola, the phone measures 160.5×74.4×7.9mm and weighs approximately 166g.

Motorola Mobility, a part of Lenovo, manufactures the Moto G brand of Android handsets. The G Power and G Stylus were released in February 2020, followed by the G Pro and G Fast in May and June, respectively. The G Power and G Stylus were released in the US in April 2020, while the G Fast and G Pro were released in Europe and the US in June 2020, respectively.
