On January 4, OnePlus will unveil the first smartphone of the year 2023, the OnePlus 11 5G, in the Chinese market. The smartphone is slated to be released in the Indian market on February 7. Images of the forthcoming smartphone have been leaked and are all over the internet just before its formal unveiling. The images show the future smartphone’s circular rear camera module.
The leaked photographs also suggest that the gadget has a sandstone finish, which was previously seen on the first OnePlus smartphone and the recently released OnePlus Nord 2T device. The leaked image also includes the alert slider, which has recently been removed from several OnePlus smartphones. The slider will allow customers to effortlessly switch between silent and loud audio settings with a single toggle, similar to the Nord 2T gadget.
According to the leaked pictures, the forthcoming handset is believed to include a glossy rear camera module with a tiny bulge on the surface, similar to the Oppo Find X5 series.
OnePlus 11 features in detail
Users are not surprised, as OnePlus has been collaborating closely with its sibling concern brand Oppo under the BBK banner. Furthermore, Pete Lau, the Co-Founder of OnePlus, also holds the position of Oppo’s Chief Product Officer. The OnePlus 11 5G has been the topic of the month, and much conjecture has already been made. The handset’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU has already been confirmed. The company has also officially announced its black color model, as well as other color variations that will be available in the future.
The smartphone will have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display and a battery capacity of 5000mAh. The handset will include a 100W rapid charging function, as well as a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and a triple camera arrangement that will reportedly include a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera sensor with 2X optical zoom.
One of the video teasers also highlights the OnePlus 11’s Green color variation, which features a frosted rear. In contrast, the black color variation appears to have a textured design and a matte surface. Finally, the phone was discovered to be running Android 13 out of the box on Geekbench. We can anticipate ColorOS 13 on top of the Chinese variant. The Indian edition will most likely run Oxygen OS 13 on top of Android.
On February 10, the OnePlus 11 will be available for sale in India. The smartphone will most likely compete with the upcoming iQOO 11, which will be released in India next month. According to rumors and leaks, each of these smartphones will be priced between Rs 55,000 and Rs 60,000. The exact price of the phones has yet to be published.
About OnePlus
OnePlus Technology, trading as OnePlus, is a Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer based in Shenzhen, Guangdong. It is an Oppo subsidiary. On December 16, 2013, Pete Lau and Carl Pei created OnePlus with the intention of developing the OnePlus One, a high-end flagship smartphone running CyanogenMod. OnePlus would continue to release smartphones throughout the 2010s and the 2020s.
OnePlus Nord, the first mid-range smartphone since the OnePlus X in 2015, was released in 2020. Pei would manage the design and marketing of OnePlus’ products until his departure in October 2020, when he would go on to start the consumer electronics business Nothing.
Oppo and OnePlus would form a collaboration in 2021, uniting their hardware research teams in January of that year. OnePlus integrated OxygenOS, an Android-based operating system used since the OnePlus X, and Oppo’s ColorOS in July 2021. Both firms’ software remains distinct, with OxygenOS for OnePlus phones globally and ColorOS on OnePlus and Oppo smartphones in China. But they share a single codebase, which OnePlus claims will standardize its software experience and ease the development process for future OxygenOS updates.
